The review
Supp (supp.to) is a Dutch donation-crowdfunding platform created by the Enschede creative studio Comyoo and operating since 2016. It is aimed at individuals, groups and organizations raising money together in the Netherlands and, increasingly, Belgium, and positions itself around transparent, low pricing with - in its own words - no hidden costs and no mandatory "voluntary" tip.
Its pricing is unusual for the category: on a standard regular donation Supp charges no percentage and instead applies a flat fee of EUR 0.49 per iDEAL or Wero donation and EUR 0.65 per Bancontact donation, all inclusive of 21% VAT, with a 2% fee on PayByBank and KBC payments or when an organizer links their own Mollie account. Payments run through Mollie Payments B.V., which is licensed for payment services under the Dutch Financial Supervision Act (Wft) and supervised by De Nederlandsche Bank. Funds use a keep-it-all model and are paid out within roughly two weeks of month-end. Optional paid tiers (Supp Plus and a white-label Supp Pro) add features for organizations that want more.
Supp's strength is cost transparency for Dutch and Belgian fundraisers who dislike percentage cuts and pressure-style donor tipping: a small, predictable per-donation fee makes proceeds easy to forecast. The trade-offs are scope and scale - it is a regional Benelux platform with a smaller footprint than international competitors, and is euro-only.
The platform supports iDEAL and Wero, Bancontact, PayByBank, KBC, credit cards and PayPal, and runs a sister product, Sponsor.school, aimed specifically at schools. Project pages show real-time progress so anyone can see how much a campaign has raised, reinforcing the platform's transparency positioning.
