About Givingplatforms

Givingplatforms is an editorial comparison site for donation crowdfunding platforms. We cover platforms that let individuals, nonprofits, and causes raise money from donors online — not reward-based, equity, or lending crowdfunding.

The site is owned and operated by WhyDonate B.V., a Dutch crowdfunding platform that we also review. We disclose this relationship on every page and address the conflict of interest in our methodology.

What we cover

Phase 1 of Givingplatforms covers three platforms operating in Europe and beyond: WhyDonate, GoFundMe, and Leetchi. We score them on fees, country coverage, local payment-method support, data residency, third-party ratings, and editorial judgment.
