Once a project reaches its goal under an all-or-nothing model, DierenDonatie purchases the items and ships them to the foundation. Its running costs are covered by a flat per-project contribution of EUR 10 for projects up to EUR 300 and EUR 25 for larger projects, alongside optional donor support contributions, sponsors, and supplier discounts.
Its strengths are sector focus and accountability: donors fund concrete items and can see what their money buys, and the CBF accreditation signals governance standards. The trade-offs are a narrow scope (animal causes in the Netherlands only), an all-or-nothing model that returns nothing to a project that misses its goal, and a small set of payment methods.
